When I stumble across something amazing I have to share it. So when I found Nontobeko's blog, it was no exception as I was fascinated by her take on things, when it comes to traditional practices. At some point in our lives we have watched our parents practice traditional rituals, not much was explained as to why things were done that way. All we knew was “that’s how things are done”.

 People have slaughtered to no avail, lived in fear that someone was thakatha-ring (Bewitching) them. Many have spent so much money and energy moving from one prophet/Sangoma/Umthandazeli to the next…. Which brings to mind the saying “preacher man – heal thyself!!”

 

When I read Nontobeko’s blog I was enlightened when she spoke about talking to or bringing ones ancestors closer to you without spending loads of money and the importance of having a deeper relationship with GOD.

Thando: I have known Dj Sbu for a very long time, when he was still an engineer in JHB.Like people who know him personally; I’m amazed by his success and his rise to superstardom.

 DJ Sbu (Sbusiso Leope) is an inspiration and admired by many for his music and as a businessman. When we interviewed him we wanted to find out more about things that are not always said about this man. In the height of his success he still stops & greets everyone he meets, and introduces himself as S’busiso not Dj Sbu. I’m glad that he can separate the two.
