The event was held at the Gagasi 99.5 headquarters and the media was invited to witness this momentous occasion as well as our finalists and their family and friends.

This February - Gagasi 99.5 embraced the spirit of love and Romance by hosting its own speed dating service. We asked singles, both male and female - over the age of 25 who were looking for love to enter by sending TP and Thandolwethu an sms. The station then shortlisted the large entries to 10 guys and girls who went on speed dates of 5 minutes each hoping to meet that guy or girl of their dreams. The event was held at Rivets at the Hilton Hotel with a Romantic ambience and goody bags for all entrants. The best couple won a Dinner Voucher to the elegant Fig tree Restaurant.

Gagasi 99.5 staff, clients, media and a few lucky listeners were treated to an exclusive listening session of Lira's brand new album 'Return to Love' Lira performed a few of her new songs as well as favorites from past albums to an intimate crowd from the Gagasi 99.5 building. She also awarded the station a plaque to honor and appreciate the role the station has played in her last release reaching platinum status.
