I started working on radio at the age of 18 as a sports presenter for Durban Youth Radio. After four months I was granted the spot of hosting the weekdays drive home show as a co-host and two years later I was recognized and approached by radio Gagasi.
In 2008 I was recruited to host the Friday night and Saturday top 40 hits countdown shows and within two months of hosting those shows, they earned me the title of co-hosting the weekdays drive home show (Ziph’khwama).
In 2009 February I was shifted to weekdays 12midday-15h00pm (the lunchtime show) working still as a co-host to Trevor Phillips.
A year and a half later I now host solo shows titled Zanda after dark on Friday nights between 19h00-22h00 and Saturday nights between 18h00-22h00 on Gagasi99.5 FM.
Other Talents: do I have other talents? Aaaah I do-it’s just id have to think about them before I answer this question....oh shopping, now that’s a natural talent that I have.
Interests outside radio: my number one would be fashion followed by studying, cooking (it’s a new interest and I’m still on the burning level), travelling, movies and music.
Quirky Question
Let’s say you had to lose one of your five sense – which one would you choose to lose and why?
If I had to lose 1 of my senses it would have to be smell, as much as I’d love to smell those fresh roses, that perfume and food it really isn’t so important anyways three quarters of the time I have sinus.
