  Full Name:
Nhlanhla Alex.

Surname:

Mthiyane.

Place of birth:
Empangeni.

Who would play you in a movie:
Mfundo (the guy playing Shaka Zulu in Eddy Mhlongo’s play “The Spear is born”).

Role model/s:
Quite a few names to mention.

Bad habit/s:
Licking my lips (in public).

Favourite food:
Oxtail, kingklip and amadumbe.

Favourite holiday destination:
Seychelles.

Favourite movie:
The Transporter.

Favourite car:
Nissan Sentra 140.

Favourite song and why:
Hi de hi: Kool and the Gang – It was the first song I played on my debut show.

Favourite hangout spot:
Nembula’s Eskhawini.

Things you can't live without:
My cellphones.

  Worst job you’ve ever had:
Cleaner at Municipal library (BP Centre). It was my fine for not returning CD’s I had hired which got lost when I was a student.

Any secret talents:
Playing basketball.

What scares you more, roller coasters or thunderstorms:
Neither.

Chocolate or vanilla:
Mhmm, maybe Vanilla.

Suburbs or township and why:
Honestly I am not sure...

Would you rather be good looking and doff or smart and ugly, why:
Smart and ugly – I can relate to it, in real life (LOL).

Most embarrassing moment - on or off air or both:

When I was a newscaster for KZN2Nite, I would occasionally wear shorts with formal shirt and jacket since I would read news sitting down. When we did a live broadcast of the last day of the Natal lottery, the producers gave a live instruction on my earpiece to walk from the autocue desk to join the guests at the formal podium.

Who would you like to host at a dinner party and why:
Dorothy Masuku, the old lady has style and she can play with her voice.

Who would you bring back from the dead and why:
My Old man, just to say thank you as in the beginning of the Commodores classic.

Any other interesting information about yourself:
I still keep a lot of radio show on tapes, I am yet to dub them on to CD’s.

Why radio:
This is one medium that is truly reflective of things as they are. Radio is not fake – It’s in the background allowing you to have dual concentration without having to sit down unlike tv and twitter.
